This happy group meets each Tuesday evening from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, ready to get stuck in with water colours, acrylics, oils, or pastels or pencils…
We’re a mixed bunch, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere and some friendly banter. We are always pleased to welcome newcomers and complete beginners, and we were all beginners once. Spare materials are available if you’re just starting, and no real skills are needed – really!
Drop In Spot.
A warm welcome for everybody.
Each Tuesday in term-time, this happy group of toddlers meet to play together, and their parents, minders or grandparents have an opportunity to meet and relax a bit.
Doors open at 1.30pm, and sessions finish in time to collect older siblings from school. There’s plenty of play equipment and various activity tables, and story-time and songs… and a chance for adults to gather together. Simple refreshments are on offer, too.
There’s an upper limit on numbers we can accommodate, so there’s often a waiting list, but the Pushchair Team do their best to minimise this.
Cameo meets fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons at 2.30pm for a varied programme.
Occasional lunches are always special, and the occasional outings are not to be missed. The general midweek meetings are an important gathering point for an increasing number of ladies who find this to be a comfortable and popular time to meet.
We may be more than 50 in number, but there’s still a place specially reserved for you.
Please call in on us one Wednesday, or contact Mary Hutchinson for more information. We will be pleased to see you, and we know you will feel welcomed and at ease among friends.
In October 2008, we celebrated the beginnings of this group, which started 80 years ago on the former Shipfield site. Week by week, every Wednesday feels special to us, and you are welcome to join with us. This is when we come and meet each other…
…meets monthly at 9.00am (usually last Saturday, except August and December) for a cooked breakfast, followed by guest speaker and discussion… till around 10.45am.
We’ve looked at all sorts of topics, from the “The Da Vinci Code” to the “Nooma” series of DVD-based talks, and we’ve also laughed with Adrian Plass.
We’ve also had a range of speakers – including folk from Mission Aviation Fellowship and Norwich Youth for Christ, our friend John Drake (formerly of YMCA Norwich), neighbouring church leaders, and our MP.
We are always pleased to link in with other potential speakers, and especially pleased to welcome new folk to join in the fellowship over breakfast (and this is important – it’s always good to sign-in the week before and help ensure that the catering crew can extend to the occasional ‘seconds’!).
Keep your eye on the Rocky News for future specials.
There are a number of social events at the church thoughout the year. In the autumn there is a Harvest Supper and in December there is a Christmas meal. Almost all the socials have a “bring and share” supper. All are welcome. Check the Calender for dates for the socials.
